Coach Lou Zampella continues to lead the Hawk Defense in 2006.
During 2004 & 2005, the HC Defensive unit was impressive, holding HCIAA opponents to just 15.2 points per game. Zampella's defense also posted four shutouts during that span.
Another long-time member of Head Coach Rob Stern's staff, from both a previous stop at Hudson Catholic (1997-98), as well as St. Peter's College (1999-2002), Zampella returned to Hudson Catholic in 2003 and engineered one of the top defenses in Northern New Jersey. A 1993 Hudson graduate, he led a defense in '03 that posted five shutouts and surrendered an average of only 9.2 points in HCIAA league play.
Zampella, a native of Hoboken, NJ, is also a firefighter for the city of Hoboken. |
